In honor of Cinco de Mayo I pulled a shot out from the archives. My family and I traveled to Mexico to visit the Yucatán Peninsula in the spring of 1993. We took some side trips to visit Chichen Itza and Tulum and on a gas stop in a small town on our way I snapped the pic below. The timing was perfect as the little boy in the window was pointing and looking in the same direction as the dragon on the wall.

If you were in San Francisco in the post dot com era, you might have attended Platform–a series of events that showcased local talent in film, fashion, art, and music. You might also know that when the Platform events ended, the spirit lived on in an urban lifestyle magazine called Slightly Pointed East.
